Japanese super hard gel (200g/1kg)
This type is much harder than regular products and is self-supporting. Pillar candles can be produced using silicon or aluminum molds due to their high softening point (melting point).
[Product Information]
■Ingredients: white oil/thermoplastic gel
■Softening point (melting point): about 115℃
■Flash point: above about 250℃
■Form: Flake
■Country of origin: Japan
[Notes]
*Please set the temperature of cooking equipment such as IH cooking equipment to 160°C or lower.
*First, turn the temperature to low and melt slowly
, when it is about half melted, bring the temperature of the cooker to complete liquefaction.
*Put the super-hard gel into a metal or enamel container and dissolve it while stirring well.
*Self-supporting elastic wax. The softening point is a whopping 115°C, so if the wax is cut into small pieces and melted, it will melt effectively.
*If heated for a long time, the color may change (yellowing).
*Please note that other waxes can cause cloudiness.
*If too much pigment or dye is added, the transparency will be reduced.
*Ventilate well as fumes may be produced when melting.
*Since the wax easily heats up during work, be careful not to let it get on your skin.
*Be careful when moving the product, it may catch fire if the temperature exceeds 250℃.
*Please store in a cool place away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.
[How to melt wax]
(1) At a low temperature of IH (60℃~80℃), stir gently occasionally to melt the entire mixture slowly and evenly.
*When there is a large amount of gel, divide the pot into several pieces, melt them to a certain extent, and then combine them into an efficient melting form.
(2) After all the wax is melted, keep the wax temperature at 150℃-160℃ and keep it warm for 10-20 minutes.
*If the wax temperature rises during the holding period, please adjust the IH temperature.
(3) By pouring into the mold at a constant speed so that it flows from the edge at 170°C to 190°C, bubbles become difficult to enter.
*Heat the mold with a hot air gun etc. before casting*
When coating the core with a super hard coat, be aware that the core will change if the wax is too hot.
